Emily Utgren

Real experience is everything, but my degree from Rosewarne, Cornwall and time training with the RHS at Rosemoor in Devon was a fantastic platform from which to grow. Following that, my 15 years at National Trust garden Stourhead has been invaluable. I've had the opportunity to work in the most complete example of an early English Landscape Garden in the world and learn all aspects of its upkeep. From fruit, vegetable and plant production and propagation and research, to all aspects of tree care and pruning, specialising in fruit trees, I've tried and later taught most of it. My work in education has taken me to places from Japan to Sweden to experience and learn the very best of horticultural practices ready for implemention in your garden.
